MSA's SmoothDome Slotted Cap is a tough, lightweight polyethylene helmet with smooth crown and suspension system working togehter as a protective system. Its smooth silhouette is welcomed by welders, especially those in shipbuilding and general construction-and some workers simply prefer wearing a smooth-crowned hard hat. 
SmoothDome Caps meet or exceed applicable requirements for a Type I (top-impact) helmet as outlined in ANSI Z89.1-2003, Class E (electrical high voltage). 
SmoothDome Caps are not specifically designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side or rear. MSA's Vanguard Type II protective helmets are so designed and must be used if lateral protection is desired. For more information, contact your local MSA distributor.
