Sentinel 206 PeroxyStrip is an eco-friendly, hydrogen peroxide-based paint and coating remover designed for both professional and residential use. Its thick gel formula clings to vertical surfaces, making it ideal for stripping a variety of finishes, including latex and oil-based paints, polyurethane, varnish, shellac, and lacquer. The low-odor, non-flammable composition ensures safe application in both interior and exterior environments. Cleanup is straightforward with water rinsing, and coverage ranges from 50 to 75 sq. ft. per gallon when applied at a 1/32” thickness. ​

For optimal results, apply a generous amount of PeroxyStrip to the surface, allowing it to penetrate the coating.

Penetration times vary based on the type and thickness of the coating:​

• Varnish, shellac, and lacquer: 15–30 minutes​
• Latex/oil-based paints, polyurethane, and multi-layered finishes: 15–60+ minutes​
• Difficult-to-remove, multi-layered coatings: Allow to penetrate overnight​

After the coating has softened, gently scrape it off with a putty knife or stripper tool. If necessary, a second application may be required for multiple layers. Remove any remaining residue with a stripper pad dampened with soapy water, always rubbing in the direction of the grain. Finally, wipe the surface with a dry, clean cloth and let the wood dry thoroughly (at least 24 hours) before refinishing.

Note: Only appropriately trained professionals should remove lead-based paint. Dispose of lead-based paint residue in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.​
